A flat, fast course and great winter running weather drew record crowds to yesterday’s Rudolph’s Revenge 5k/10k. The event was held at Hudson Gardens, a new venue for the race and the entire Winter Distance Series. More than 1,000 runners participated in the well-organized event.
Winners of the 5k were Charles Hillig, 15:52 and Summer Cook, 18:57. In the 10k, Jonathan Huie ran the course in 34:43; the women’s event winner was Heather Utrata, 37:59.
Runners celebrated their efforts post-race with hot Coda coffee, plentiful refreshments, and generous age-group awards from Runners Roost.
